A first visit takes about an hour. We start by talking: what’s troubling you, how long it has been going on, and what makes it better or worse. I’ll also ask about your general health, so I can be sure chiropractic is right for you.

Assessment

Next I watch how you stand and move, and examine the joints and muscles involved by hand. If anything suggests you should see your GP first, I’ll tell you and explain why.

Treatment and aftercare

If treatment is appropriate, I’ll explain what I plan to do and ask for your consent before starting. Afterwards I’ll give you simple advice for the next few days and suggest whether a follow-up would help.
